Disciple: Master, what is love? We speak of it often, but what does it truly mean?
Master: Love is not an emotion that comes and goes, my disciple. It is the very essence of existence. It is the force that connects everything, the thread that weaves together the universe. Love is not something you do; it is something you are.
Disciple: But why is it so difficult to live from love?
Master: The mind distracts you from love. It creates fear, separation, and judgment. These are all illusions. Love is beyond the mind’s grasp. It is a feeling of unity, of being at one with everything. When the mind quiets, love is all that remains.
Disciple: How do I quiet the mind and return to love?
Master: Start by being present. Love exists in the now. When you stop thinking about the past or the future, you open yourself to the present moment, and in that moment, love is always waiting for you.
Disciple: How can I practice this in my daily life?
Master: Observe your thoughts. Whenever judgment or fear arises, pause. Ask yourself: “Is this coming from love?” If it isn’t, let it go. Replace fear with love, and observe how it changes your interactions with others.
Disciple: What happens when we live from love?
Master: You become an embodiment of peace and compassion. You begin to see the world not through the eyes of separation, but through the eyes of unity. You feel connected to everyone and everything around you.
Disciple: Is this the ultimate truth of life?
Master: Yes. Love is the ultimate truth. When you live from love, you align yourself with the flow of existence. You are in harmony with the universe.
Disciple: But what if I feel disconnected, or find it hard to love?
Master: Know that love is always within you, even when you cannot feel it. Like a seed buried in the soil, love sometimes needs time to grow. Continue to nurture it with kindness, patience, and compassion. It will bloom in its own time.
Disciple: Thank you, Master. I now understand that love is not something I need to seek, but something I must realize within myself.
Master: Indeed. Love is your true nature. When you remember this, you will see that it has always been there, waiting to be acknowledged.
Disciple: I will practice living from love, Master.
Master: That is the path. Walk it with grace and openness. Love will guide you in all things.
